Last Letter! August 10, 2015

Hey fam!
Holy fetch! I cant believe this week has come, my head is still in the mission and it still doesn't feel real! I am unbelievable excited to see you guys though! Tim has seriously flown! I just sent you another email but I need the church address as soon as possible please to send an invite to all my home boys and home girls. Anyways I love you guys so much I am so pumped! I am glad those are the kind of talks you guys like because my entire talk will probably just be stories and experiences and things like that. I could probably talk for all 3 hours of church if I wanted haha. Anyways I hope we have a little bit of time after my talk to see people! There are a ton of people coming from far away to see me speak so I want to have some time with them before we leave on Sunday! Anyways  So whats the plan for Thursday?? Who's going to make it out to the airport?? I cant wait to spend time and have a blast with you guys. Anyways the bike and helmet will be left here as far the bike lock goes hahah. That will be a story for home. Anyways I love you guys see you in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

August 3, 2015

Hey family!
This is the last week! Whatttttt theeee Fetttch!? How did that even happen? I am honestly in full denial that this is all really happening haha. It really doesn't feel real at all, it honestly doesn't feel like I am going home next. I am sure that when I get to transfer meeting things will start to get real.

Anyways don't worry about luggage I am well aware of the 50 pound requirements, the mission has told us all about 20 times haha. I have been slowly getting rid of stuff and should have hopefully have plenty of room for my stuff. I am going to have more shoes and ties then anything in my suit cases haha. So much of my clothes are trashed. I will probably come home with just the shirt on my back and my other two shirts that aren't as bad yet haha.

But that reminds me, there is a member in our ward who owns a super nice running store and he hooked me up with a brand new pair of the new nike frees! They are so sick! So when I get home maybe we can do some running.

Anyways I don't even know what to talk about. Tony is on date for the 15th and doing good. Its been insanely hot and humid. I am soooo stoked to not sweat profusely every day when I get to Utah haha. By the way trying to think of what to say in my homecoming talk is like next to impossible! So far all I have is a bunch of stories that I could possibly tell. This is so weird haha.

I go to the temple with my group on Wednesday so that should be fun. Ummmmm I am super excited to see everyone. I don't know what else to say guys. I love ya! See you next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 27, 2015 letter

Hey guys!

Sounds like you guys had a blast of a week! Today isn't my preparation day because its the quarterly temple week so my prep day is on Wednesday but we were allowed to email today. Its kind of funny though because since the temple is closed the week I leave I will be going to the temple with President and sister Christiansen and my group next week as well so that's pretty sick.

I really don't have much to say about this week. Nothing crazy happened, our investigator is doing well he has been coffee free for two weeks. unfortunately I will miss his baptism by a week, but that ok. Its going to pretty sweet in two weeks when I can tell you guys some mission stories when I get home! I am looking forward to the good times we are going to have when I get home.

I have already started to stress a little bit about work and school but I am sure it will all be just fine. I have some pretty potential jobs lined up so hopefully I can land a good job and make some money. Anyways thank you very much for sending me the stuff so quickly. I really appreciate it!

Anyways I hope you guys have some fun stuff lined up for us to do when I get home! I love you guys! Enjoy the week! Dad better be ready to ball when I get home on Wednesday nights! Love ya!

July 20th letter

Hey guys!

Holy fetch it has been insanely hot this week here. Yesterday it hit 100 with 85 percent humidity. I seriously have bee looking like Shaq this last week with how much I have been sweating!

I mowed 7 different lawn this past week. One of the them was a full acre of grass that me and elder W did with two lawn mowers, there has been a serious need for service this past week!

Everyone in our ward is moving out so that has been kind of a bummer. I feel bad for elder W haha because everyone is leaving. This Saturday after we cleaned the church a member of the bishopric took us to lunch and while we were there we started talking to this guy there named J who just bought a house in the area. Anyways we talked to him and offered some help to go over and help him at his new place with mowing his grass and pulling weeds and all that good stuff. Anyways him and his family are super awesome Christian people who really want to come to our church and learn more, so that was super cool! We also stopped by this former investigator family of 5 that were stoked to see us and we are going by there this weeks as well. So overall it was a super good busy week.

Anyways elder W found out when I get home so the secret is out haha, but its all good! Time is flying by and not going slow at all. 3 weeks till we can all hang out!! Yeah buddy!!!! Its going to be super fun I am looking forward to seeing you guys so much!

Anyways That's about all that happened this week. By the way I spoke on the book of Mormon last week haha, pretty easy topic right? I had about 30 minutes of material with only a 7 minute timeslot given haha. Anyways that's about all I got for this week! I love you guys!  Have a great week!

July 13 letter from Wes

Hey fam!

It was another super hot humid week here in Frederick. We have been walking/biking our butts off this last week. I have dropped 4 pounds since getting to the area and quitting soda again which is nice haha.

Anyways things are going pretty well. We have an investigator on date to be baptized in August so we are pretty pumped about that. We dropped all our other investigators because of numerous reasons. Elder W still doesn't know I go home August 12th hahaha. People have been doing a pretty good job of not blowing it.

Things are getting weird though. B emailed me and was telling me that we are speaking on the same day again which is pretty sweet! I am pretty stoked to see you guys and the fam and all of my buddies again. Everyone has been emailing me yesterday and trying to set some stuff up for us to do when I get home.

So the wedding invitation is from the elders quorum president in Annapolis. He is the man! He is by far one of my favorite members on my mission! He told me he would end an invitation to my house. I don't think I will be able to go, unless you guys want to tour the east coast and the mission? Haha I'm sure there is no way we could swing that. Anyways that's all I got for the week. I love you guys though! Let me know if you find out what my topic to speak on is from bishop ok? By the way I forgot to tell you I spoke in Sacrament yesterday with sister S and the ward mission leader here. It went well. Anyways I LOVE you! Have a great week!

July 6, 2015 Letter

What is up family,

Happy late fourth of July! Sounds like your week was pretty packed with stuff that you guys did, I cant believe that you guys didn't go the parade! That is pretty different that the norm! [I was} glad to hear that the family all go together for the fourth …

This week was pretty crazy. It has been raining here on and off for about two weeks now. The temps haven't been too high so that has been pretty nice but the rain is lame especially when we have to walk or bike half the time haha.

On Thursday we had a mini zone conference that was only about 3 hours long where we got to know the Christiansen's so that was pretty cool. They are both super awesome but quite a change from the Richards so it has been a little weird to adjust. They are super sick though and I like them a lot but I miss the Richards a lot too.

That's pretty sweet that you guys will be going to their homecoming this week! You will probably see a ton of my friends from the mission that have gone home. Anyways on Friday our entire zone went to President O of the Frederick stake presidency, and set up all day for the fourth of July party that was on Saturday.

Then on Saturday morning we had to drive to his house to be there at 6:45 to set up some last minute stuff. The party was pretty cool but it rained pretty much the whole time. We were directing traffic for most of the time. When the party was finally done it was super muddy and everyone was parked in a muddy slanted field so we had to push out a ton of cars and everyone got super muddy but I managed to stay pretty clean haha.

The Christiansen's were at the party so I have got to see them more than just about everyone in the mission that's pretty cool. Anyways, The rain cleared out for the night and we enjoyed a pretty sweet fireworks show in downtown Frederick so it was fun.

We were allowed to stay out until 10:30 PM.

I also went to the S’s [family’s house]  for dinner yesterday as you already know and that was pretty funny to figure out that she grew up with you. She was freaking out pretty hard haha.

My companion still doesn't know I’m going home in a few weeks so that's been pretty funny.

Anyways that all I got for this week! I love you guys! Enjoy this week!

June Emails

Re: From MOMMY

June 29,

Hey fam!

What a week! Thanks for the updates of all of your summer time fun and things you guys are doing! It sounds like you all did a lot this last week!

So before I forget I am serving in the Frederick 1st ward which is not the same ward as the Brunswick ward where I served in Frederick before.
My address is 1335 Taney, apartment 302, Frederick, Maryland 21702.

My Trainee is named Elder W from Lehi Utah. He is pretty sick, he just graduated from high school 4 weeks ago haha. He likes sports, he played on the Football team for Lehi high school and he's in to basketball so that's cool.

He has no clue that I am going home in 6 weeks haha. So hopefully it can last that way, I will probably end up telling him the week of that I am going home.

This area is a half car half walk area. So this last week the days we didn't have the car we walked like 20 miles one day. So that has been kind of an adjustment. Luckily it hasn't been very hot this last week so it was terrible although it rained a lot and we got pretty soaked.

We have two investigators that were just barely picked up before we got here. Neither of them have answered the door or returned our call so we are pretty much starting from ground zero haha.

Things just get weirder and weirder for me everyday haha. Pretty much all my good buddies except for the group I cam out with went home. I know like no one in the mission anymore haha.

President and sister Richards are going home this week and we will be meeting President and sister Christiansen this next week. There is a mission wide famous 4th of July party and a member in our ward who is in the stake presidency here and is a retired colonel. We are helping him set up for this party that is expected to have 800 or so people at it so that will be fun. Six weeks left, its pretty dang weird!

I am going to work my butt off though until August 12th. Anyways I don't have much else to say other than I love you guys and am looking forward to getting your package! Thanks for all you do! Talk to you next week!

June 22, 2015

Hey fam bam!

First of all Dad, happy fathers day!!! I hope you had a good day and it sounds like you got some good stuff! I was thinking about you all day yesterday!

Anyways we got call outs yesterday. I am getting transferred to the Frederick 1st ward and I am shot gun training. I wasn't too surprised when I heard I would be shot gun training because President likes to do have people do that there last transfer. I was pretty surprised that I was going back to Frederick though but it should be good. :) I am pretty sad to be leaving Annapolis though, everything is going really well here. We pretty much have 3 people on date who are really progressing and doing well. Annapolis may have been my favorite area and I had a blast here. Hopefully I should be able to get a ride down to Annapolis on july 11th for some baptisms we are having here.

So D and his wife and two kids who are like my favorite members are moving to South Carolina and he is managing an office down there, anyways he pretty much offered me a job to sell for him and the average salesman is making 150000 dollars a year. He has been doing really well and I have really thinking about doing it at some time. What do you guys think? I for sure want to stay at home for a few months but this might be a really good opportunity. Its a hard decision but I certainly want to get an education as well.

Anyways Its pretty sure real that this is my last transfer and everything. It doesn't feel real at all haha. President and Sister Richards leave next week and the Christiansens will be coming in. A lot of crazy changes I will be seeing my last transfer. Anyways some thing I have been needing that you could send me in a package is some razors. That would be awesome! I hate using electric and my razors that I have are getting dull. Thats' really all I can think of though. Crazy how I will see you guys in 7 weeks! It still hasn't hit me though. Anyways I hope you guys know I love ya and I am always thinking about you guys! I hope you guys keep enjoying your summer! Hope you all have a great week!

What is up family!

Thanks for your emails and pictures. Crazy how school is out for the girls! You guys are so lucky that it hasn't been too hot in Utah. It has been 93 degrees or higher this whole week here in Maryland and has almost been unbearable.

This week I went on exchanges with the office assistants this last week. I went to Ellicott city with elder P. He is from Austria and he is a stud. We had a blast. It was stake conference in the Columbia stake so on Saturday we had to go to the stake leadership training and the adult  session. We did a lot of service while I was there and we had to help renovate this guys house and his AC was broken and it was 96 degrees outside so it was brutal to work in. We also ended up having dinner with one of the members in Ellicott city who is closely related to the F's in our stake.  It was funny because he new exactly where I lived.

Anyways the rest of the week was good our investigators are doing really well. J is still good for july 11th and we are also teaching his mom now and we are going to put her on date for the same day! We also street contacted this guy from originally from Nigeria who lived in London his whole life and we are teaching him now and he is sick! He came to church on Sunday and he is super interested!

And the the R family btw is the family where we baptized there son about 3 weeks ago, do you remember that? So things are rollin' here in Nap town baby!!!...  Not every mission can have as good as missionaries as the MBM. Anyways that's about all I got for this week thanks for all you guys do. Like you all said this the last week before transfers crazy enough. I have not the slightest idea if I will stay in Annapolis or not. Anyways I love you guys have a good week!

June 9, 2015

Hey family!
Sorry I forgot to tell you last week that we were having zone conference on Monday and so that's why I didn't email you yesterday. Before I forget to answer your question. yes i know sister S she was in the Jones falls ward and I ate at her restaurant in the inner harbor haha.

This last week was really good. We put J on date for July 11th! His whole family including his less active returning dad and his non member mom! That family is killin' it right now! We also found another cool family to teach named the Q's and they are pretty cool too.

This last week it rained most of the week and it just poured for about two days straight so I know how you felt when you went to that concert! I am super stoked to have zone conference out of the way though. It was a really good meeting but it was stressful to put some of the stuff together for the stake, so now its a big relief that I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Today for Preparation day we went to golf range and hit about 80 balls. They let us use some brand new ping and Nike drivers that came out about a month ago and they were so sweet. I am pretty stoked when I come home to come golf with you guys. The weather is starting to really heat up here. Its 92 degrees currently and the humidity is pretty terrible. Twenty two months later and you still don't get used to the humidity.

Anyways I cant believe you guys got my flight info. Its funny A called them trunky papers because that's what we call them here too haha. Only 8 preparation days left.... That is insane! I have been talking to a lot of people lately and it sounds like a ton of my buddies are coming home soon as well which will be super cool.

Also forgot to mention that since President Richards is leaving in two weeks that he did the August groups exit interviews. So now I have already had my exit interview, which is so weird. President said he and sister Richards want to come to my homecoming haha. So presidents home coming will be July 12th and the Sandy, Granite Stake center.

So that will be cool to go to for ya. I flippin' love the Richards so much I got so lucky with them as my mission president and mission mom. Btw we also got to got the temple with the R family this last week and it was awesome! Anyways that's about all I got for this week. I love you guys! Enjoy your summer until I get home and then the real party will start ;) haha love you guys!

May 26, 2015

Hey family!
I am glad that summer time has finally made it out to you guys in Utah. The weather has been pretty dang hot here, its been in the low 90s everyday with about 85 percent humidity.

I cant believe its June and you got my flight info!! Thats crazy. This transfer is already half way over with the shortened transfer and this transfer meeting everyone in the mission will be coming in for it. I wonder if I will stay here for one more transfer with Elder V or if I will go train for my last one.

This past week has been good. We have had to drop a couple of investigators this last week but we were able to pick up a few more so that was good. The photos you got were me and elder V at a surprise birthday party for a part member family that we go and see a lot. It was probably the funnest thing I have done in two years haha. The bubbles we were in are so sick! You can get layed out so hard and you dont feel a thing haha. It was a blast.

Anyways I am having a good time with elder V. He is the man! We have such a good time together. We started teaching this awesome part member family this last week and there son who is 11 wants to get baptized so we are working with him. His mom who is also not a member is going to be taking the lessons as well so hopefully she fill good about everything and get baptized as well!!

Today for Preparation day we went to Chick and ruths diner in meet the mormons and got the six pound milk shake, it was pretty dang good. I also went and got a hair cut :) I am going on exchanges with kent island this week so that should be pretty sweet.

Anyways im just going to keep working hard and enjoy these last two months and change. Thanks for your package you sent me I liked it a lot and thanks for your letters as well! You guys are the best thanks for all you do for me! Have a great week!

May 4, 11 and 18th letters

May 18, 2015

Hey family!

Dang it has been a great week! D's baptism is on Saturday and we are pretty stoked about that! Everything is going really well with all of our investigators. We should have 3 more baptisms soon after Davids baptism on Saturday. As far as transfers go I am staying in Annapolis and Elder B is getting transferred to Frederick which we were both a little disappointed with but my new companion is elder V, My first MTC companion.

It should be a blast, me and him got along super well and I bet he will be my last companion if you can believe it. Everything is going really well though. We are seeing a couple less active members we have been working with coming back to church every week and getting involved with the ward so that has been sweet to see.

Things just keep on rolling here, I am not too sure what else to talk about. We have leadership this week which should be cool. I'm just trying to continue to work super hard until the very end. Crazy how I only have 12 weeks left.

Thanks for the sports updates, I heard the playoffs have been the best that people have seen in a long time, so that's pretty sick. I really hope Kyrie and LeBron take it all. Today for preparation day we are playing volleyball so that should be fun. Tonight we are getting taken out for Frozen yogurt and then we are playing baseball for family home evening with a bunch of members, less actives and some non members so that will be pretty dang fun.

That's all I got for this week! I love you guys! Thanks for all you do!

Love wes

May 11, 2015

Hey guys!
I too have no idea what to talk to you guys about, I really liked the call though and really enjoyed talking to you guys! :) I realized that through the craziness of trying to figure out the call that I don't know if i ever told mom happy mothers day, so sorry about that haha :)

I hope that you had a good day and I am so grateful for all that you do for me! Anyways I got the bike info I think. First of all the model is a Trek 3700. We were trying to figure out the size and we think its s15? We aren't entirely sure though.

Anyways I hope you guys have a good week. This is the last full week of the transfer for us. On Sunday we will know what will be happening with transfers. President Richards only has one shortened 5 week transfer left until he is gone and the Christiansen's arrive. Crazy times haha.

Anyways I love you all very much and am grateful for all that you do for me!
 I love you guys!

Love Wes

May 4, 2015

Hey family!

Holy cow what a week! Thanks for all your emails! Thanks for the shirts, the long sleeve is perfect size but the  short sleeve one is too big. I am like a large 16. Anyways it was a crazy week. We went on exchanges with the office assistants this week. I stayed in Annapolis and my buddy elder h who is 6'7 and playing basketball for Westminster came with me. We had a ton of fun but we were so busy.

We helped with two different moves this last week. We had to go to therapy for elder B because he has a torn ligament in his back. We also got to play basketball with a bunch of ballers on friday which was really fun. It was my first time playing in like 2 plus months so I was pretty rusty haha.

Our investigators are doing really well right now. The B family that we found while door knocking we did service for. She absolutely loves us and her mom was there as well and she loved us too. They said too us
" So you guys are going to make us Mormon and then send our sons away for two years to do this huh?"
It was super funny, she was the one who sent the pictures of me and elder H doing service in the yard and shes not even a member haha. They are so cool! Her husband is a geologist for the government and she is a general surgeon. She is having twins on Tuesday so we will meet up with them again soon.

We also found a guy named c who is a high school basketball coach for basketball which is pretty cool and we started teaching him. There is so much other stuff going on right now that this letter could go on all day haha.

Me and elder B are working soooo hard right now and its awesome and insane at the same time haha. I am loving everything right now and weeks just keep passing by and its getting weirder and weirder every week.

Anyways that picture of you guys at the Utah draft party is sick! I am glad you guys got to go! Anyways the weather is starting to get hot here. Its 86 degrees today. And by the way I think selling my bike to that kid coming in the mission in August is a perfect idea. let me know the details when it gets closer. Anyways I love you guys very much, have a great week!

April 20 and 27 Letters from Wes

April 27, 2015

Hey guys!
Thanks for the emails from everyone this last week! Its always nice hearing from everyone! Thanks for the package and the hand written letters from mom and lynz!

The long sleeve shirt is good but the short sleeve shirt is big on me. But thanks for the other stuff you guys sent. Btw, did you guys ever get my package I sent from Frederick before I got transferred? Also that picture you saw of me lifting was from the elders Quorum President in Frederick when we moved someone out.

Anyways my week was pretty good. We had our zone training on Wednesday and of course President Richards showed up, I'm sure because  I am a new zone leader. It went really well though everything went really smoothly and the instruction was really what our zone needed so it was good.
President Richards said he liked it a lot so that was good. Its crazy how he goes home so soon.

Other than that though we had a super good week and we found two new investigators and found a less active not on the roles of our ward while we were knocking doors and street contacting. So that was a miracle. We went on exchanges with the Kent island branch elders and I stayed in Annapolis and elder B went there and we switched companions. We have to go on exchanges with every elder companionship in our zone (exchanges are for us to help missionaries and give training)

I'm going on exchanges on Tuesday with the Spanish elders and I'm going into the Spanish elders area. It should be interesting because I only know a little Spanish. So the elder that I'm going with basically has to do everything haha and he is a brand new missionary out of the MTC. But he will learn a lot from it haha.

Going on exchanges so much is crazy though. Me and elder B don't see each other that much and the weeks go by really fast because of it. Everything is going really well and we have a 10 year old on date for may 9th to be baptized and have several other investigators who are close! :)

The transfer has been a whirl wind so far and its already half over! We only have one more transfer after this and President is gone and I will start my last transfer on the mission! Its so weird talking to all the RM midshipmen from the Academy and talking about what its like after the mission.

Anyways everything is going super well and I am loving it here in Annapolis yesterday we got to go to a less active members house and they have a house on the water and a dock and boat and everything and we got to sit out there and it was super nice.

Thanks for all the sports updates Dad! Go Cavs baby! My two favorite players are tearing it up! Glad to here you are still balling with everyone and those guys! I am super excited to come ball with you when I get home! That's way sick you guys get to go to the draft party! How did you get hooked up with that! I love Utah though! I hope you guys get some autographs and have a good time. That's all I got for this week and I am excited to talk to ya on mothers day! Have a great week!

Love Wes

April 20,  2015

Hey family!
Today is going to be a short letter because I had to drive clear to Columbia and back and take that stupid test that took two hours to set up so we have not been able to do ANYTHING today which is like two preparation days in a row so that's been pretty lame.

Anyways I took the test finally and it put me in math (...) or something haha,...but I don't think I did too bad considering I have not done math in two years and I only had a paper and pencil. Anyways I am not going to take math anyways.

I did just barely get your letter and the schedule looks good other than I don't want to take math and I don't really want to have basketball on Saturdays.

This week has been crazy like last week. Me and elder B have insanely busy with investigators, meeting with the stake presidency, planning zone training for tomorrow etc. It has been a constant whirl wind since I have got to Annapolis.

The members are fantastic here and are super cool.  I'm glad to here you guys went to elder P's homecoming! That's pretty sweet that he is home now.

The weather here is pretty dang nice. Its 80 degrees today its pretty humid. I cant believe you guys got 8 inches of snow and its already gone! That's crazy!. Second is I could really use some new white shirts. My shirts are sooo nasty and they aren't even white anymore haha.

I have been holding out on asking for some for a long time now but I really need some haha. Anyways thanks for all your help with schooling and everything I love you guys very much and appreciate all you do! Have a great week and be safe! Thanks for your letter! :)

April 13, 2015 20 month mark today and zone leader

Hey family!

Holy cow this was the craziest week of my mission! We were so insanely busy that the week went by so fast! The Annapolis ward is awesome! The previous time I served in the Annapolis stake was about 25 minutes inland from the bay and was a lot different than actually serving in the city of Annapolis and I love it! It is the coolest area ever. Our apartment is right next to the naval academy and our ward besides being a normal ward is the magnet YSA ward because of the naval academy is so close.

We work with a lot of the midshipmen and teach a lot of people on the academy or “on the yard" we taught a media referral from Utah who is not a member and brought a stud YSA going to the academy from Provo with us named T! The naval academy is soooo sweet! I love working with all the YSA's that are our age!

Yesterday we went over to the YSA meet and greet that we are encouraged to go to and hang out and fellowship with them. Friday we had a leadership meeting we had to go to so that was good. Elder D one of the assistants from Provo came out with us all weekend and I learned a ton from him.

We also are teaching a family of six, so that is way sweet! We have 9 investigators right now and easily could have 7 baptisms here soon which would be insane for our mission. I got to play ball on Friday night as well with some members and less actives and that was fun. They love playing ball down here. So the D line coach for Navy named coach nua is also in our ward! He is so sick! He won a ring with the Steelers before he had to retire. So we helped him move a couch and had a lesson with him as well.

We got taken out to eat like 4 times already since I have been here. Annapolis is the most swanky rich place I have ever been too ha-ha. We went to the world famous chicken ruths restaurant on Saturday ( which is where you saw the picture of us) some random member there bought us the man vs food 6 pound colossal shake that the man vs food guy did on his show. And then another nice family from Dallas came and took all our pictures to send to our moms and paid for our meals! It was so crazy!!!

This week was so good but so tiring! My companion is cool though! He is 6'5 like 230 and he is only 19 years old and he has been out for like 17 months. He graduated super early to come on a mission and didn’t even play his senior year of baseball. He could have gotten drafted out of high school to the MLB. He’s going to BYU for a year then he’s going into the draft and will probably get drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round. He is a really good missionary. His last companion was an assistant so he is very purpose focused and obedient. He really works hard and pushes me to do my best in everything so it’s pretty sweet.

[We} have a lot of responsibility so we are constantly going so it’s pretty tiring but its fun. Glad to hear that guys are going to elder P’s homecoming!

Anyways that’s what’s going on here! I love and miss you guys and I just passed my 4 month mark till I go home so that’s crazy! Anyways thanks for your emails and updates! I love you guys! Have a good week!

Re: From Dad:

Hey guys!
Holy cow, thank you so much for the Easter package! I wore the sweet tie you gave me on Sunday and have been enjoying the candy. I also received a combined packed package from Grandma and T and got loaded up on candy and money from them.

Over all it was a fantastic Easter and I had a blast watching conference at the church as well as at members houses. I too like the oaks and Uchtdorf talks a lot but my top three had to have been the fast offering talk by Pres Eyring, the elder Holland talk on the atonement, and the elder Christofferson talk.

Saturday night before Priesthood session we did go to a Chinese buffet and it was pretty good and a lot of fun. It was a really good week though full of a lot of service (since the weather is nice now) and seeing a lot of less active and we had to give six blessings this week. So anyways as far as transfers go me and Elder W are both getting transferred! I am getting transferred to the Annapolis ward in Annapolis city! My companion is Elder B the Elder who is going to the MLB after his mission! So I am pretty pumped and excited!

I never though I would go back to the Annapolis stake in a million years haha. I get to go on exchanges to the Broadneck ward right next to us where D and A our convert who moved from Towson moved too! I am so pumped to see them!

They have since had there baby since I have seen them last (The one who was baptized in her stomach haha)I also get to go over to Coach N house the coach of the navy football team who was in meet the Mormons! I'm super stoked about everything though.

We have to do a lot of packing an cleaning today and I will probably be sending my winter stuff home this week. Anyways I am glad that you guys had a good spring break and Easter, it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun!

Thanks for updating me on everything and good to here D went on a mission and that the W boy is coming to my mission the day I leave haha.

I found out the temple will be closed that week so we will probably come home on that Wednesday instead of Thursday because of that!

Elder P is coming home on W and you should go to his homecoming! I told him you would try to make it! Its at our old neighborhoods church building on wild clover lane at 11:00 am. Anyways that's about all I got for you guys this week! I love you guys very much! Thanks for all you guys do for me!

March letters " I’m going to keep working hard and making everyday count until the end"

March 30,  2015

Hey what’s up guys!

Glad to here you guys had a good enjoyable relaxing week! It sounds like you have some fun plans for Easter weekend. My week has been pretty normal; the cold weather has continued to stay around a little bit. It looks like this will finally be the week that we can say good bye to the cold weather because everyday looks like it will be in the 60s.

So we are currently down to one investigator who is doing really well. The finding efforts have been tough for our whole zone for the last couple months. We have to potential investigators who look very promising and want to get taught, we just have to touch base with them and meet up with them.

Sunday was a good church service and Sunday night we had the big inter-faith Easter program at our church. More people showed up to it than at stake conference, it was pretty awesome. Most of the program however we were ushers and security detail ha-ha so I didn’t get to see much of the program which was fine.

I’m going on exchanges tomorrow with my buddy elder J from Park City so that should be fun. We have a lot of service set up for this week (yard work) for members so we will be doing a lot of that. This is the last full week of the Transfer and I’m pretty sure I’m getting transferred and I think it will be nice for some new scenery and probably my last area. My guess is on the Columbia zone were the mission home is and that area because I haven’t been to that area yet but who knows.

Anyways, Conference should be awesome; all the men are going to a buffet before Priesthood session on Saturday so that should be fun. This will be my last one on my mission and in the fall me and dad can go hit up Crown burger or something before we go together :) I hope you guys have a fun relaxing Easter weekend. I’m sure mine will be nice as well; we are going to my ward mission leader’s house for dinner that day. Anyways I love you guys! Talk to you soon!

Hey guys!

Wow not much to say about this last week ha-ha! I don’t know how it is in Utah but a lot of people are sick around here! It must be the last but before spring and summer hits.

We had zone training on Tuesday which was good, I didn’t have to instruct so that was nice to just take it easy ha-ha.

We dropped all of our investigators except R who is getting baptized in April and D and G. So we only have two investigators that we are currently working with but its cool we are going to find some more these next few weeks.

With our new Bishopric we currently have, our ward is tearing it up and getting everything going with missionary work and visiting less actives and everything. Our awesome bishop had us over for dinner and went out stopping by fewer actives with us. And the second counselor brother L who a stud is taking us out for lunch at Cafe Rio on Thursday and driving us around and stopping by a ton of less-actives. So we are staying busy and doing work and going hard in the paint ha-ha.

Anyways that’s pretty much all I got for this week. I look forward to your package or whatever it is. I will probably get transferred in two weeks from Brunswick and move to probably my last area. I’m going to keep working hard and making everyday count until the end. I love you guys! Have a great week!

Hey guys!

Great emails this week, thanks!  Anyways glad to here you guys had a super busy week that was full of fun things. Thanks for the pictures you sent! I loved them all and dang that tie I gave Dad is a good looking tie ha-ha, Go tar heels.

Anyways this week was super good and pact for me too. I had leadership on Friday and I was the second oldest district leader there which was so weird. Everyone is now a lot younger than me. Our ward is tearing it up and inviting all there friends and stuff to church and we are picking up new investigators left and right. R is doing so well and will get baptized in mid April.

Our new bishopric is FANTASTIC and the ward has improved so much since I have been here and is one of the hottest wards in the mission right now. Life is good and everything is going well. We were so stinking busy this week that I can’t believe its Preparation day today.

I did a baptismal interview this week for a girl the sisters are teaching who was baptized on Sunday and that was awesome. Over 75 people came to the baptism. It’s warming up here slowly but surely. I’m hoping we will see some 70 degree temps here this week.

I have been working out pretty dang hard in our apartment complex gym every morning. We wake up at six and work out hard for an hour doing lifting, curling, planks, abs flutters and doing lots of trap and lat work outs as well as running. I have got my curls with 30 pound weights to 25 reps without stopping with each hand. I stopped drinking soda altogether and I haven’t drank any mtn dew or anything for about a month now and I have lost about 2 to 3 pounds off abdominal area which is the hardest thing to lose for everyone on a mission ha-ha but its still a work in Progress.

Anyways everything is going well glad to here you are doing well. Thanks for all you guys do I love you guys. You are all seriously the best. Keep on working hard! Have a great week!

Hey family!

I hope everyone is doing well this great week. This week has been a roller coaster of weather here as well. It was cold all week until Thursday and it snowed 7 inches. Friday it got up into the 40's and since then it has been in the high 50s finally! It looks like the good weather is finally here to stay. Normally, Maryland winters don’t last as long as Utah winters and snow in April is not a common occurrence so I'm crossing my fingers that the snow and cold weather are finally over.

This week we were able to see quiet a few less active members which were good. Three of them came to church on Sunday so that was really good to see. We had a good lesson with D and G and brother M, our ward mission leader came with us and they are still trying to make the commitment to live the Gospel. Our other 3 investigator appointments cancelled because of sickness and the weather. We have all our investigator appointments set up this week and the weather is good so we should be able to get the ball rolling on baptism with a couple of them this week.

The rest of the week was pretty decent. It was stake conference weekend here so we had the adult session Saturday night and Stake Conference on Sunday which was both really good. The stake Presidency here are a bunch of studs and President and Sister Richards both spoke as well and elder Gerard of the Seventy who is a stellar seventy all spoke so they were really good meetings.

Today was fun, we got some good sleep and then we got to play basketball with a lot of missionaries. The other Fredrick zone got permission to come over and play so it made for some games and decent competition.

That’s about all that's going on. I have Leadership on Friday. I hope I get released leadership soon. President has already released a lot of leaders in my group and the group before me. I have been a district leader for almost 9 months now! Crazy! Thanks for the letter you guys sent to me this week and for all your support. I am planning on writing a letter to Grandma and she really wants me to write to M and his kids too so hopefully I can find some time to do that soon. Anyways I love you all very much! Have a great week!

Hey family!

I hope you guys are doing well and you guys are staying warm. I don’t know why you guys are worried about me, it makes me nervous when you say your worried about me and I have no idea why ha-ha.

Anyway I am pretty ecstatic right now. We have 2 investigators on date. Both young men and doing excellent. Our bishopric was changed on Sunday and I am so stoked about the new people in the bishopric. They are all very missionary minded and the work here in the Brunswick ward is starting to take off.

Our ward mission leader has been taking us out a lot and has been giving rides places since our cars have been grounded because of the massive amounts of freezing rain we have been having.

My new companions name is elder W.  He came out with me and is from Farmington, Utah.

Anyways our week has been really good even with the terrible weather we have been having it has been super cold and it’s rained and snowed and we have had freezing rain and it’s been insane. Luckily today it was in the 40's so it felt really good and all the snow and ice is melting off.

Wednesday was a little weird day sending my companion home and seeing the sisters who came out with me. But it really wasn't anything too crazy. I'm glad I wasn't going home, I still have a little bit left to do out here until I go home ha-ha. I'm stoked about our investigators, and a lot of less actives we have been working with have been coming to church to, so the ward is really happy with all the good stuff going on :)

Everybody knows I’m a University of Utah fan in this ward, so on Sunday everybody was talking smack about BYU beat Gonzaga because I gave everyone a hard time when Utah smashed on BYU earlier this year ha-ha. Anyways that’s about all that going with me. Anyways I love you guys, I hope everyone is enjoying school and you guys are having fun. When I get home things should be fun for sure. Have a great week!
